Dear Records Custodian,
Under the Florida Public Records Law (Chapter 119, Florida Statutes), I respectfully request access to the following public records:
1. All communications, emails, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, or agreements
between the Collier Mosquito Control District and any manufacturer, distributor, or contractor related to the purchase or use of Dibrom (Naled), from January 1, 2020, to the present.
2. All internal communications (including emails and meeting notes) among CMCD staff, board members, or consultants that reference “Dibrom,” “Naled,” “AMVAC,” or “American Vanguard.”
3. Any records of bids, procurement justifications, vendor evaluations, or conflict of interest disclosures associated with Dibrom or any Naled-based products.
4. Copies of Safety Data Sheets, environmental or toxicological reports, and public health impact assessments regarding aerial or ground spraying of Dibrom in Collier County.
5. Any records of public complaints, legal notices, or public comment submissions regarding Dibrom/Naled use in the county during the same period.
I request that these records be provided in electronic format (PDF or EML where applicable). If any part of this request is denied, please provide the statutory exemption that applies and release all segregable portions.
I ask that you waive any fees in light of public interest. However, if costs exceed $25, kindly
provide a detailed estimate in advance.
